Special Education Teacher in Olathe, CO

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Key Qualifications:

• Hold an active Colorado Special Education License, or possess eligibility for reciprocity if licensed in another state
• Prior experience working with elementary-aged learners, particularly in special education, strongly encouraged
• Strong knowledge of IDEA and special education regulations and compliance practices
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, plus a collaborative spirit
• Ability to document progress, manage IEPs, and track compliance efficiently
• Comfortable working onsite, with some flexibility for hybrid arrangements if needed

Responsibilities:

• Deliver specialized instruction tailored to individual education plans for elementary students with mild/moderate needs
• Implement, track, and monitor IEP goals and related compliance requirements
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including district staff, service providers, and families
• Engage in student evaluations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development
