Animal Care Technician

Title: Animal Care Technician – Temp-to-Hire
Location: Hollister, CA
Duration: 3 Months (Temp-to-Hire Opportunity)
Interview: Onsite
Training: On-the-Job Training Provided
Pay rate : $18-$19/hr. on w2 IMPORTANT : This is a temporary position with the potential to convert to a full-time employee based on performance and business needs.
Schedule

• Monday–Thursday: 9 hours/day
• Friday: 4 hours/day
• Start time assigned between 4:00 AM – 6:00 AM

Minimum Qualifications :
Must have one of the following:

• 1+ year of experience in animal husbandry or related animal care work, or
• Associate degree or higher

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform routine animal husbandry and daily animal care activities.
• Monitor animal health, welfare, behavior, and environment.
• Identify and report abnormal animal conditions or findings.
• Collect health-monitoring swabs according to established schedules.
• Handle, transfer, and dispose of animal supplies and waste.
• Maintain animal rooms and work areas in accordance with GMPs and SOPs.
• Complete housekeeping and sanitation duties.
• Maintain animal population records and inventory documentation.
• Follow procedures to maintain barrier room integrity.
• Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures.
• Support colony management and production operations.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
