Position Overview
We are seeking a Tax Senior Accountant to join its Columbus, Ohio or Dayton, Ohio office. This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys technical tax work, mentoring team members, and building strong client relationships. The Tax Senior will lead complex tax compliance and consulting engagements while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and a resource to junior staff.
Key Responsibilities
-Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, S-corporation, and C-corporation tax returns
-Lead tax compliance and consulting engagements for a diverse client base
-Research federal and state tax issues and prepare technical memorandums
-Prepare tax projections, estimates, and planning strategies
-Review work prepared by staff accountants and provide coaching and mentorship
-Develop and maintain strong client relationships
-Respond to federal and state tax notices
-Identify tax-saving opportunities and process improvements
-Collaborate with managers and partners to deliver exceptional client service
-Participate in staff training and professional development initiatives
Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
-3+ years of public accounting tax experience
-Experience preparing corporate, partnership, and individual tax returns
-Strong understanding of tax compliance and tax planning concepts
-Excellent communication, organization, and time management skills
