Job Title: Dual Registered Cardiac & Vascular Sonographer
Location: Columbia, SC
Type: Contract | 13 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Night Shift | Saturday, Sunday, Monday | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Dual Registered Cardiac & Vascular Sonographer for an exciting Travel or Local job in Columbia, SC.

Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive transthoracic echocardiograms and other cardiac ultrasound procedures
• Acquire high-quality diagnostic images and measurements in accordance with established protocols
• Recognize and document cardiac abnormalities and assist with diagnostic interpretation
• Perform non-invasive vascular ultrasound examinations, including arterial, venous, carotid, and peripheral vascular studies
• Obtain and evaluate diagnostic images and Doppler waveforms
• Accurately document findings and prepare studies for physician interpretation
• Verify patient identification and explain procedures to patients and families
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record
• Utilize EPIC for patient documentation, scheduling review, and workflow management
• Adhere to departmental policies, infection prevention protocols, and patient safety standards
• Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and care of ultrasound equipment

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography or Cardiovascular Technology program
• Minimum 1 year of EPIC electronic medical record experience required
• Strong knowledge of cardiac anatomy, vascular anatomy, and ultrasound imaging principles
• Excellent communication, organizational, and patient care skills
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team
• Dual Certification in Echocardiography and Vascular Ultrasound required
• Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) through ARDMS or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) through CCI required
• Adult Echocardiography (AE) and/or Pediatric Echocardiography (PE) through ARDMS or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) through CCI required
• Current BLS Certification required
