Engineering Technician

Title: Engineering Technician II - Product Engineering Support // Process Technician II

Location: Fargo, ND - 58102

Duration: 24 Months (possible extension)

1st Shift: 8 AM – 4 PM

Position Overview:

• The Process Technician plays a critical role in supporting the production floor, responding to technical requests, and resolving machine or mechanical issues in a timely manner.
• The technician will be responsible for troubleshooting and perform hands-on repairs to ensure smooth operations.
• The successful candidate will complete 2+ months of comprehensive training at the Main Plant before transitioning to the PES facility.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond promptly to requests and trouble calls from the production floor.
• Diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs issues with machines and mechanical equipment.
• Provide support with soldering tasks and related processes.
• Perform failure analysis and document findings; operate diagnostic tools such as multimeters.
• Work with small robotics, conveyors, automated soldering stations, and material dispensary equipment.
• Track work performed using basic computer applications.
• Maintain a high level of safety and use required PPE (metatarsal shoes) at all times.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in electronics, manufacturing, or engineering preferred.
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills.
• Hands-on experience with soldering (support and intermediate level).
• Ability to use multimeters and perform failure analysis.
• Experience with small robotics, conveyance equipment, and automated machinery.
• Basic proficiency with computers.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• 2-year technical degree or equivalent technician experience.

Additional Information:

• Local candidates preferred, position is 100% onsite.
• Metatarsal safety shoes required on day one.
• Approximately 75% of time spent on the factory floor, 25% at a desk.
