Associate Attorney - Litigation Associate/General Civil

We are seeking a full‐time Associate Attorney to join our Houston law firm. This immediate opening is ideal for a lawyer interested in general civil litigation, commercial litigation, and insurance defense. The role offers meaningful responsibility, courtroom experience, and the opportunity to grow your career in a supportive Houston‐based litigation team.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters involving commercial litigation, contract disputes, premises liability, product liability, and general civil litigation
• Draft pleadings, motions, discovery responses, and legal memoranda
• Take and defend depositions of parties, experts, and fact witnesses
• Appear in Harris County, surrounding Texas state courts, and federal courts for hearings, mediations, and trial preparation
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy with senior attorneys
• Communicate directly with clients, experts, and opposing counsel

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• 3–5 years of experience as a litigation attorney preferred, but willing to consider junior attorneys looking to start a career in civil litigation
• Interest/experience in general civil litigation, commercial litigation, or insurance defense
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Ability to manage deadlines and handle multiple cases
• Excellent communication and client‐management skills
• Active Texas bar license in good standing
