Job Description
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and minimum 1+ years Special Education Teacher experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
In this dynamic, contract-based opportunity near Spartanburg, SC, you’ll take on a full-time Special Education Resource Teacher role supporting elementary students for the 2026–2027 school year. This school-based position centers on delivering individualized academic support and fostering student success across resource and inclusion settings.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver targeted, small-group and individual instruction in reading, math, and other core subjects
- Provide support in both push-in and pull-out environments to meet students’ unique learning needs
- Develop, implement, and track progress on IEP goals
- Collaborate with general education teachers, fellow special educators, and related service staff
- Serve as a key participant in IEP meetings and assure compliance with all documentation
- Maintain accurate records, data tracking, and ongoing assessments of student progress
- Consult and co-teach within general education classrooms to ensure student integration and achievement
Qualifications:
- Valid South Carolina Special Education Teacher certification (active or pending)
- Experience in a resource or inclusion environment is strongly preferred
- Demonstrated skill in instructional adaptation and collaboration
- Ability to support elementary-aged learners both academically and behaviorally
- Commitment to fostering a positive and supportive learning atmosphere
