Job Description
This role operates production equipment to cut aluminum extrusions to specified lengths, performs quality checks, and supports packaging operations as needed. The Machine Operator maintains a clean and organized work area while following safety procedures and contributing to efficient manufacturing output.
Responsibilities
- Place aluminum extrusions on the work table and prepare them for cutting.
- Establish and set accurate saw lengths based on production specifications.
- Operate cutting equipment safely and efficiently to meet production requirements.
- Perform regular visual inspections of materials and finished parts to ensure quality standards.
- Assist in the packaging department as needed, including handling and preparing finished products for shipment.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area at all times.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating machinery and handling materials.
- Work on feet for the duration of the shift to support continuous production activities.
- Use measuring tools, including tape measures, to verify dimensions and ensure accuracy.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and schedules.
- Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly.
- Ability to work on feet for the duration of the shift.
- Previous production or manufacturing experience (preferred).
- Experience with machine operation in a production environment.
- General labor experience in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Forklift experience or willingness to learn forklift operation.
- Strong attention to detail for performing visual inspections.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and production specifications.
- Previous manufacturing experience is a plus.
- Comfort working with aluminum or similar materials in a production setting.
- Willingness to assist in multiple departments, including packaging.
- Commitment to maintaining a clean and organized work area.
- Interest in ongoing training and professional development to advance within the organization.

Work Environment
The role is based in a clean, well-lit manufacturing facility with approximately 190 employees and plans for continued expansion. You will work in a production environment that involves standing on your feet for the duration of the shift, operating machinery, handling aluminum extrusions, and assisting with packaging. The facility emphasizes safety and organization, with uniforms provided and reimbursement available for safety shoes or boots.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $16.90 - $16.90/hr.
