Job Description
The Maintenance Mechanic installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs a wide range of light and heavy vehicles, forklifts, loaders, machinery, and equipment in a manufacturing environment. This role focuses on preventative maintenance, mechanical and electrical repairs, and fabrication work to keep production operations running safely and efficiently.
Responsibilities
- Perform repairs, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance on vehicles, forklifts, and industrial equipment
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Install and repair electrical components, wiring, and machinery systems
- Maintain and replace tires on vehicles and equipment
- Fabricate and repair parts using hand tools, machine tools, and welding equipment
- Install and service hydraulic and pneumatic systems, including valves and regulators
- Operate and maintain automated machinery and programmable equipment
- Follow safety procedures and document maintenance activities
Essential Skills
- 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment, including work on vehicles and forklifts
- Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and equipment repairs
- Ability to work with 480V, 3-phase electrical systems
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical components, including basic welding skills
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and complete maintenance reports
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Experience working with automated machinery, including robots and programmable controllers
- Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams
- Welding experience beyond basic repairs
- Experience operating machine tools for fabrication and repair
- Ability to perform basic carpentry and structural repairs

Work Environment
The role is based in an industrial manufacturing facility that includes a small warehouse and storage area, welding bays, an assembly area, a shop area, and a break room. The environment is typical of a weld and assembly shop: it can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter, but it is well ventilated and kept fairly clean for this type of operation. The position follows a first-shift schedule, working Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The work involves regular use of welding equipment, cutting torches, machine tools, and various maintenance tools and equipment. Employees report to the Operations Manager and can expect a stable, full-time schedule with pay increases tied to performance and length of service. Dress is appropriate for an industrial, hands-on maintenance and welding environment, with the use of proper safety gear and protective equipment as required.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00/hr.
