Job Title: General Laborer (Construction)

Job Description

This role supports mechanical installation teams on a large hospital expansion project by providing hands-on assistance with material handling, basic assembly, and site upkeep. You work closely with experienced installers, contribute to safe and efficient project execution, and gain valuable exposure to sheet metal, HVAC, and ductwork installation in a commercial construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Move, stage, and organize materials, tools, and equipment around the job site in a safe and efficient manner.
• Perform regular site clean-up, including debris removal and maintaining clear, organized work areas.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 0-1+ years of construction experience.
• Current OSHA 10 certification or higher (or the ability to obtain it before starting).
• Ability and commitment to wear a Type 2 hard hat with chin strap at all times on site.
• Ability and commitment to wear cut level 5 gloves as required.
• Reliable work ethic with the ability to consistently work early morning shifts and extended hours as needed.
• Strong focus on safety and adherence to all site-specific safety requirements.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in construction, commercial construction, or industrial construction environments.

Work Environment

This position is based on a major hospital project. The standard schedule runs Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with potential Saturday work added in late spring and early summer as project needs increase.

This is a Contract position based out of Columbus, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
