Job Title: Sr Microbiologist-Sterilization
Location: Boulder, CO
Duration: 12 Months (Possible Extension)
Job Pay: $45-50/hour on w2

Job Description:

Nice to Have:
1. Experience with ethylene oxide, steam, liquid chemical, and radiation sterilization methods
2. Experience with no sterile package design or pharma package design

HM's Top Needs:
1. Ethylene oxide sterilization expertise
2. Controlled Environment validation/recertification/routine monitoring experience
3. SME in medical device and cleanroom microbiological test methods including: Bioburden, sterility testing, B/F testing, EO residual analysis, viable surface sampling, viable air sampling

Education Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Microbiology or a related science degree
Experience Required: 4+ Years

Responsibilities:

• Include the following and other duties may be assigned.
• Develops, validates, and implements controlled environment methods. Applies existing techniques and procedures with recommendations and implementation of modification for improved efficiency, or devises and develops new analytical methods and techniques.
• Typically, an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty.
• Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results.
• May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower-level professionals.
• Most of the time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects from design to implementation while adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education (typically University).

• Autonomy: Seasoned individual contributor. Works independently under limited supervision to determine and develop approach to solutions. Coaches and reviews the work of lower-level specialists; may manage projects / processes.

• Innovation and Complexity: Problems and issues faced are difficult, and may require understanding of multiple issues, job areas, or specialties . Required Knowledge and Experience:

• Requires advanced knowledge of job area combining breadth and depth, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
• May have practical knowledge of project management.
• Requires a University Degree and minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
