Facilities Custodian

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Custodian to maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across our facilities. In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing a variety of cleaning and custodial tasks to ensure that all areas meet high standards of cleanliness and hygiene. Responsibilities

• Perform routine cleaning duties including sweeping, mopping, dusting, vacuuming, and trash removal across all designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms by sanitizing fixtures, replenishing supplies, and ensuring hygiene standards are met.
• Conduct commercial cleaning tasks such as window washing, floor stripping, waxing, and carpet cleaning as needed.
• Ensure all custodial equipment is properly maintained and stored after use.
• Follow safety procedures and use cleaning chemicals responsibly to promote a safe working environment.
• Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to the appropriate personnel.
• Support special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives to uphold facility standards.

Experience

• Prior janitorial or custodial experience in a commercial or institutional setting is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform cleaning tasks efficiently and thoroughly.
• Knowledge of proper use of cleaning chemicals, tools, and equipment.
• Experience working independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
