Software Dev Engineer IV

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Software Engineer to design, develop, and deploy scalable applications within a cloud-based environment. This role focuses on building robust backend systems while leveraging modern AWS services and infrastructure-as-code practices.

The ideal candidate will bring strong experience in Python or Java development, along with hands-on exposure to AWS services and CloudFormation. This role is well-suited for engineers who thrive on solving complex problems, delivering results, and working across distributed systems.

Key Responsibilities

Application Development

• Design and develop scalable applications using Python or Java
• Build high-quality, maintainable code following best practices
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement efforts

Cloud & Infrastructure

• Work extensively with AWS services to build cloud-native applications
• Deploy and manage infrastructure using CloudFormation
• Support application scalability, reliability, and performance

Integration & Data Workflows

• Develop APIs and backend services to support application integration
• Contribute to data workflows and pipeline development (as needed)
• Support evolving cloud and application architectures

Collaboration & Delivery

• Work with cross-functional teams to deliver technical solutions
• Demonstrate a strong ability to deliver results and dive deep into technical problems
• Contribute to Agile development and iterative delivery processes

Required Qualifications

• 4–5 years of software engineering experience
• Strong programming experience in Python or Java
• Hands-on experience with AWS services
• Experience deploying infrastructure using CloudFormation
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data engineering or data pipelines
• Exposure to AI tools or AI-assisted development workflows
• Experience working in large enterprise environments
