OB Hospitalist | San Jose, CASilicon Valley — High-Acuity Maternal-Fetal Medicine Led Program## Position Details Full-time or part-time permanent position Setting: 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage — high-volume, multidisciplinary hospital Schedule: 5–6 shifts per 4-week cycle — 24-hour shifts with weekends included in rotation Not accepting visa or locums candidates## Practice OverviewSeeking a BC/BE OB Hospitalist to join a dynamic, Maternal-Fetal Medicine led hospitalist program at one of California's most advanced hospital environments: Provide 24-hour in-house OB Hospitalist coverage Manage OB triage for unassigned patients and private physician requests Respond to and manage MFM patient transports (approximately 5–6 per month) Assist in cesarean sections (0–3 cases on average; assist in 1–2 cases) Conduct inpatient rounding including postpartum patients Participate in shared rounding of antepartum patients alongside MFM specialists Perform gynecologic emergency department evaluations for unassigned patients Work alongside a separate on-call GYN surgical service for gynecologic surgical management Supported by Level III NICU, 24-hour dedicated anesthesiology coverage for L&D, 24-hour neonatology coverage, and 24-hour pediatric hospitalist coverage## Compensation & Benefits Base salary: $296,400 (0.71 FTE) or $328,320 (0.78 FTE) — both with bonus incentive program $190/hour for extra clinical hours Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance Performance-based bonus incentive program Comprehensive health insurance including medical, dental, vision, and prescription Telehealth services Disability and life insurance coverage HSA and FSA options Parental leave benefits Fertility support (Progyny Benefits) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Identity theft protection and employee discount programs Continuing education assistance and CME allowance 401(k) with profit-sharing plan Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP) Paid sick leave — 40+ hours annually depending on eligibility## Required Qualifications MD or DO — Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in OB/GYN (within 5 years of residency) — required Active California license or in process — required DEA — required, must be obtained prior to start, no exemptions Clean malpractice and license history — highly preferred NPDB Self-Query Report within 30 days — required, no exemptions Full-time or part-time interest must be noted at submission## About the Community – San Jose, California Heart of Silicon Valley — one of the most innovative and dynamic cities in the world World-class dining, arts, and cultural scene with a diverse, vibrant community Excellent schools and family-friendly neighborhoods throughout the South Bay Easy access to San Francisco, Monterey, and the Santa Cruz Mountains Abundant outdoor recreation including hiking, cycling, and exploring the Bay Area Mineta San Jose International Airport offering extensive domestic and international connections Strong job market and high quality of life in one of California's most desirable metro areas
