Job Description
Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Experience an engaging summer opportunity making a difference for K-12 students as a physical therapist in an educational environment. This contract position is ideal for a skilled PT looking to work onsite in the extended school year (ESY) program from June 22 through July 30, 2026. Enjoy a consistent part-time schedule of 14 hours per week, Monday through Thursday, serving students across grade levels in a dynamic and supportive setting.
Qualifications:
- Doctorate in Physical Therapy required
- Active Pennsylvania state license to practice as a Physical Therapist
- Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly desirable
- Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with educators, families, and related services staff
- Dedication to fostering student growth, access, and independence
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct assessment and physical therapy interventions for K-12 students with diverse needs
- Collaborate with teachers, other therapists, and school support teams to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Maintain accurate records, documentation, and progress reports in accordance with district and state requirements
- Serve as an onsite resource, participating in team meetings and contributing to student-centered planning
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support students’ movement and participation in school routines
