Degree in Physical Therapy, active Physical Therapist license and 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Step into a dynamic school-based contract opportunity supporting K-12 students throughout the summer session. The assignment features a positive, collaborative environment with a manageable caseload and direct impact on student development. Sessions take place at a welcoming elementary campus, working closely with fellow professionals and students requiring specialized physical therapy services. The selected contractor will transition from the ESY (Extended School Year) summer schedule, with the potential to continue in the upcoming academic year supporting early childhood populations.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Physical Therapist (PT) license in Missouri
  • Prior experience delivering PT services to school-aged children preferred
  • Ability to structure and document therapy goals and progress
  • Strong communication skills for collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
  • Comfortable adapting to varying student needs and caseloads
  • Driven to create encouraging, student-centered therapy sessions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct small group and individualized PT sessions for assigned students
  • Develop, document, and implement treatment plans and progress reports
  • Collaborate with teachers and ancillary staff to support student access and participation
  • Address specific mobility, motor, and physical access needs within a school environment
  • Complete student records and assist with therapy space organization at the end of the session

Key Assignment Details:

  • Initial work day: June 25, 8:00 am - 12:00 pm
  • ESY: June 29 - July 1; July 6-9, 13-16, 20-23 (Mon-Thurs)
  • Shifts: 7:45 am - 12:31 pm; student attendance is 8:00 am - 12:16 pm
  • Final days (July 22-23): up to 4 hours for records management and packing
