Location: Georgetown, TX
Employment Type: Full-Time, 5 days a week

A well-established flight training organization operating a modern fleet of single-engine piston aircraft. Daily operations are high-volume, aircraft availability is critical, and the maintenance team plays a direct role in keeping training safe and on schedule.
Compensation & Benefits
Base Salary: $35–$40/hour — Based on experience and qualifications
Starting Bonus: $1,000 sign-on bonus
Relocation Assistance: Available depending on the candidate
Shift: 10-hour shifts; day and night shifts available

Job Summary
Handle both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on a piston-powered training fleet where aircraft readiness is mission-critical. Ideal for hands-on mechanics who own their work, follow regulatory standards without prompting, and take pride in keeping aircraft safe and airworthy.
Key Responsibilities
Execute scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on piston-powered general aviation aircraft
Troubleshoot, inspect, repair, and return aircraft to service in compliance with FAA regulations, approved technical data, and company maintenance procedures
Reference and apply maintenance manuals, parts catalogs, Service Bulletins, and Airworthiness Directives
Complete thorough aircraft logbook entries and maintenance records
Keep the work environment clean, orderly, and consistently safety-focused
Collaborate with fellow mechanics and operational teams to support fleet readiness
Reprioritize tasks in response to aircraft availability and changing flight training schedules
Cover day or night shift as assigned to meet operational requirements
Minimum Requirements
Active FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate (required)
At least 3 recent years of experience as a certificated A&P on piston-powered GA aircraft (Piper, Diamond, Cirrus, or comparable)
Flight school or training fleet background strongly preferred
Solid understanding of 14 CFR Parts 43 and 91
Capable of working independently and making sound, confident airworthiness calls
Proficient with Microsoft Office; comfortable using maintenance tracking software
Willing to work day or night shifts based on operational needs
Able to lift up to 50 lbs and sustain prolonged standing, bending, and kneeling as needed
Comfortable working indoors and outdoors around active aircraft, fuels, solvents, and shop equipment
