Operating Room - Surgical Technologist

Shift: 6:30 AM - 5:00 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program - Humboldt General Hospital.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Ortho and endoscopy experience required. - First-time travelers accepted if they have the required experience.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - SPD experience preferred.

Unit Details: - Uses Cerner. - Common cases include general, ortho, podiatry, urology, OB, C-section, GYN, pain management, cardiology (pacemakers, TEEs), and endoscopy. - Mostly adult cases with occasional pediatric ortho or appendectomies. - Case volume varies from 0 to 12 cases per day; when volume is low, staff may help with supplies and other departmental tasks.

Shift & Scheduling: - Weeknight call: 1-2 weeknights per week, 5p-630a. - Weekend call: 1 weekend per month, 5p Friday-630a Monday. - Holiday call required for major holidays, rotating with core staff. - Call response time: 20 minutes.

Floating Requirements: - No formal floating; may help SPD with a tray or two if needed and task around the department during low case volume.

7 days maximum time off

1 Manager/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

1 reference required from within the last 3 years

Proof of identification required
