Make a meaningful difference as a travel OT. We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Occupational Therapist to help patients with injuries, illnesses, or disabilities regain or improve their daily skills while working in Hot Springs, SD at a hospital setting. The Occupational Therapist will evaluate, plan, direct, and administer occupational therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician. The clinician will administer treatments and occupational agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury or disease and will assist patients to reach maximum performance and level of functioning while adapting to their capabilities.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited educational program.
- Active South Dakota Occupational Therapist license is required to start the assignment.
- BLS certification from AHA or ARC may be required.
- Experience providing occupational therapy across settings including inpatient and outpatient care.
- Ability to evaluate patients across the lifespan, including pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric populations.
- Experience supervising therapy assistants or aides.
- Competence with occupational therapy modalities and safe operation of modality equipment.
- Documentation experience meeting facility standards and policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in long-term care settings.
- Experience participating in performance improvement, staff education, and orientation activities.
- Completion of continuing education consistent with state or national CEU requirements.
