Animal Care Technician 1 - Now Hiring

Our client, a leader in biologics manufacturing, is seeking an Animal Care Technician 1 to join their dedicated team. As an Animal Care Technician 1, you will be an essential part of the production support team, contributing to the development of vital biological vaccines. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, a proactive attitude, and a commitment to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Animal Care Technician 1

Location: Maxton, NC

Pay Range: $16.00/hourly

Shift: 1st shift - Monday through Friday

What's the Job?

• Perform daily animal care and monitor animal health within the bird room
• Adjust feed, water, and environmental conditions to ensure animal well-being
• Record detailed observations on animal health, environmental, and equipment monitoring
• Clean and disinfect animal rooms and cages following established procedures
• Assist with bird inoculation and euthanasia procedures as required

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required; AS/AA degree in science or relevant field preferred
• 0-1 years of related experience in a laboratory or animal care setting; experience in a USDA licensed facility is a plus
• Ability to follow instructions and adhere to safety and regulatory standards
• Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with team members
• Basic math skills and proficiency with MS Office tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
