Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Lead Painter to oversee painting crews and ensure high-quality results on residential and/or commercial projects. This role requires strong leadership abilities, hands-on expertise, and a thorough understanding of all phases of painting, including surface preparation and application techniques.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead, supervise, and coordinate a team of painters on job sites
  • Assign tasks and ensure projects stay on schedule and meet quality standards
  • Train and mentor team members on proper techniques and safety procedures
  • Inspect work to ensure consistency, accuracy, and client satisfaction
  • Communicate with project managers, clients, and team members effectively
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
  • Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience as a professional painter, with leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in:
  • Surface preparation (sanding, scraping, caulking, patching, priming)
  • Brushing and rolling techniques
  • Spraying (airless and/or HVLP systems)
  • Backrolling for even coverage and finish quality
  • Ability to read and interpret job specifications and plans
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to stand, bend, climb ladders, and lift up to 50 lbs
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various weather conditions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices
