Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:

Accounts Receivable (AR)
  • Generate and issue customer invoices for completed generator installations, services, and maintenance contracts. 
  • Monitor outstanding invoices and follow up with customers on overdue payments. 
  • Record and post customer payments, ensuring accurate application of cash receipts. 
  • Assist in reconciling AR accounts and aging reports. 
  • Communicate with customers regarding billing issues, payment arrangements, and discrepancies. 
  • Ensure all customer accounts are accurate, up-to-date, and compliant with company policies. 
  • Prepare and submit AR reports to management for review and follow-up. 
General Responsibilities
  • Support the finance team with general administrative duties and financial record-keeping. 
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports related to AR activities. 
  • Work with project managers and other departments to ensure billing is accurate and timely for ongoing projects. 
  • Assist in the reconciliation of general ledger accounts as part of the monthly close process. 
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive financial information. 
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients regarding billing and payment inquiries. 
  • Participate in audits, as needed, and help ensure compliance with internal and external financial regulations.
Requirements:

 

Skills and Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred. 
  • Previous experience (1-2 years) in an accounts receivable role, preferably in a construction or service-based industry. 
  • Knowledge of accounting principles and basic bookkeeping practices. 
  • Familiarity with accounting software (QuickBooks, Sage, or similar) and proficiency in Microsoft Excel. 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry. 
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize work efficiently. 
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. 
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. 
  • Basic understanding of generator installation and service industry operations is a plus.



Compensation details: 19-21 Hourly Wage
