Our client in Virginia is seeking a dedicated Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 20-day assignment beginning Sep 1, 2026. This role involves a consistent 8a-4p schedule, focusing on a broad range of labor and delivery procedures including routine and complicated vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and VBACs. The physician will also perform various gynecological procedures from office-based interventions to surgical gynecology.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Labor and Delivery Required Procedures: Routine vaginal deliveries, low forceps, decision-making for C-sections, complicated deliveries (including C-sections, breech, multiple births, abruptions), VBACs, and repair of third and fourth-degree lacerations.
• Gynecology Required Procedures: Office and minor gynecology (such as IUD insertion, cystoscopy, colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP), and surgical gynecology encompassing open and laparoscopic diagnostic or minor procedures (like tubal ligation, lysis of adhesions, chromal tubation), and operative or major procedures (including ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive lysis of adhesions).

Additional Information

• Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology is required.
• EMR System: Epic.
• Cases include routine and complicated deliveries (vaginal, low forceps, C-section decision-making, breech, multiple births, abruptions, VBACs, laceration repair).
• Required Obstetrics Procedures: Managing low-risk pregnancies (e.g., history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis), FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE), performing and interpreting OB ultrasounds, and interpreting Level I/screening OB ultrasounds performed by seasoned technicians.
