Position Overview
The company is seeking a hands-on Superintendent to lead field operations on commercial construction projects. This role is responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and to the highest standards of quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all on-site construction activities for projects ranging from $5M-$30M
- Coordinate and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring milestones are met
- Enforce jobsite safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized site
- Conduct daily site walks, quality control checks, and progress tracking
- Collaborate closely with Project Managers, owners, and architects
- Identify and proactively resolve field issues to prevent delays
- Manage inspections, permits, and project closeout processes
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent in commercial construction
- Experience managing projects in the $5M+ range
- Strong understanding of construction sequencing, safety standards, and field operations
- Proven ability to lead subcontractors and keep projects on schedule
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Local Tampa Bay construction experience preferred
