Traveling Superintendent (West Texas) (Dallas)

  • We are looking for Electrical and Mechanical Superintendents for a huge Data Center build in West Texas. Also another giant Data Center south of Dallas
  • Pay - 50-60 an hour
  • 200 a day for per-diem
  • housing stipend, 155 a day. 
  • 72 hours per week.
  • 21 days on 7 days home

Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead construction activities on data center projects with a focus on delivering safe, ontime, and highquality installations. The Superintendent will coordinate field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to implement electrical, mechanical, and structural work according to project plans, specifications, and schedule. The ideal candidate has strong electrical knowledge, proven superintendent experience in missioncritical facilities, and the ability to maintain rigorous safety and quality standards while driving progress in a fastpaced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead daytoday onsite construction operations for data center projects, supervising craft labor and subcontractors to ensure work is performed to plan, on schedule, and within budget.
  • Coordinate and sequence electrical, mechanical, civil, and architectural activities with project management and engineering teams to meet milestones and critical path requirements.
  • Enforce strict safety protocols, conduct site safety meetings and toolbox talks, and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety standards.
  • Review drawings, submittals, RFIs, and change orders in the field; communicate constructability issues and propose practical solutions to the project team.
  • Monitor quality control, perform inspections, and document deficiencies; ensure corrective actions are implemented and verified.
  • Manage daily reporting, progress tracking, manpower forecasting, and site logistics including material staging, equipment placement, and access controls.
  • Work closely with project managers and owners representatives during commissioning and turnover activities to ensure smooth handover and operational readiness.
  • Mentor and develop craft and supervisory staff, fostering a collaborative, accountable, and performancedriven jobsite culture.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 7+ years of field construction experience with at least 3+ years in a Superintendent or Senior Field Supervisor role, preferably on data center or missioncritical facilities.
  • Strong background in electrical systems installation and commissioning, including power distribution, UPS, switchgear, and raceway/conduit systems; electrical trade experience highly desirable.
  • Proven track record managing multitrade job sites, reading construction drawings and specifications, and resolving field technical issues.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety with experience implementing site safety programs and maintaining high safety performance.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders including subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and owners.
  • Proficient in construction scheduling tools and Microsoft Office; experience with field reporting and project management software preferred.
  • Valid drivers license; relevant certifications (OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid, NCCER, or equivalent) and degree or technical training in construction management, engineering, or related field are a plus.
