About this job
The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator is responsible for coordinating product movement, scheduling deliveries, inventory and documents to assure their accuracy and completion. Facilitates activities for workers concerned with ordering, receiving, storing, inventory, and shipping materials. Coordinates and expedites flow of materials in and out of plant by performing the following duties.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Responsibility and authority as outlined in the Quality Manual, Operational Procedures and all Instruction manuals.
Functions within the ISO/Team environment
Follows operational procedures for activities such as verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of materials, and keeping warehouse inventory current
Coordinate product shipment movements
Maintain loading and unloading schedule
Instruct switcher and shuttle drivers on movements
Maintain trailer inventories
Notify proper personnel about load problems
Capture paperwork for all shipments received
Review records for accuracy of information and compliance
Documentation of shipping and receiving paperwork
Fill out shippers, Verify load sheets, Driver sign-in sheets (as needed) and Customs cargo control document
Maintain all shipping receiving documents
Assures the internal and external flow of raw materials and finished product are maintained
Properly completes assigned paperwork
Compiles and maintains daily inventory and location of materials
Maintain warehouse layout and white board
Miscellaneous related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
At least 2 years relevant warehouse experience
Technically oriented and knowledgeable in manufacturing systems
Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Able to multitask in fast paced environment
Proficient in computer programs: SAP, Microsoft Office
Physical Demands and Work Environment
Lifting Requirements: 0 – 100+ lbs.
Vision Requirements: close, distance, color, peripheral, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus
Constant: Lift and/or move up to 15lbs.
Frequent: Sit, stand and walk. Lift and/or move up to 50lbs.
Environment: Exposed to high levels of noise, recyclable debris and smell.
