Reports to: Area Manager

Job Summary:  The Catering Manager is a salaried position.  The goals are to build brand awareness and sales, facilitate execution of catering orders and follow-up with clients to ensure residual business and long-term growth.  This is accomplished through creative marketing/sampling while always maintaining resolute focus on growing the Jimmy John’s brand.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify your unit’s delivery area.  This is the store’s market.
  • Set up a grid system of the delivery area for sampling/marketing.
  • Drive and record every business name in each and every grid.
  • Create an excel spreadsheet listing each business name for each grid.
  • Set up meetings with potential clients that relate to Jimmy John’s catering and delivery.
  • Write a daily report on activity to be sent to your superior at day’s end.
  • Follow up with catering customers.
  • Help with store operations when needed to execute a large catering order.
  • Communicate Operator/GM to ensure 100% execution on catering orders.
  • Build a “Book of Business” for each store you have market responsibility.
  • Keep daily records detailing business objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must be able to read and write and communicate in English.
  • Must have the ability to run a register and make their own samples for marketing.
  • Position requires bending, reaching, stooping, repetitive motions, cognitive skills, standing and moving about the unit the entire workday.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, current automobile insurance, and a clean driving record.
  • Must have the stamina to work 40-50 hours per week.

Special Requirements:

  • Willing to work Saturdays as business dictates.
  • Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to handle and resolve customer threats and issues.
  • Skills to use a personal computer and various software packages (Word/Excel).
  • Ability to handle stress and high-volume operations.
