We have a part-time opening for a Food Service Coordinator.
Must be able to work various shifts per week.
Founded in 1912, the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Kansas City, a charter member of the Boys & Girls Clubs of America, is to promote the development of self-esteem, values and skills for boys and girls, ages 5-18, with special emphasis on youth from disadvantaged circumstances.
The Food Service Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the planning, development, implementation and evaluation of the Child Nutrition Program for the club, including meal planning and preparation, service, maintenance and clean-up of the cafeteria. Review and monitor the operations and activities of the cafeteria, provide leadership, supervision and training to program and volunteer staff; manage budgets and control expenses as assigned.
High School Diploma and Food Service License required.
Minimum of two years experience in the operation of a Boys & Girls Club (or similar organization) preferred. Administrative or supervisory experience in a food service or institutional food service program including planning and preparation of food in large quantities, supervision of employees, food purchasing, menu planning, inventory, and financial reporting. Must be able to meet background and motor vehicle check requirements.
