"Jones Petroleum is in the process of interviewing candidates for Fuel Technician. Some areas of responsibility include: Petroleum Service Technicians install, maintain and repair fuel dispensers, submersible fuel pumps, service station site controllers, credit card readers, cash register consoles specifically Gilbarco Passport, tank & line monitoring equipment and various other types of equipment found in service station and convenience gas stations. Primary focus is on service station electronics, computers and fuel dispensing systems. Work includes equal portions of electronics, plumbing and mechanical work. Work rotation will include after-hours on-call duty in assisting service techs. A significant portion of the work is done outdoors in all weather conditions. Lifting up to fifty (50) pounds is required. Must be able to stand for 6 - 8 hours per day. Personal qualifications and attributes necessary for successful performance in this role include:• High school diploma or GED equivalent required. • Must have the ability to obtain certifications on Gilbarco Dispensers and Passport POS. • Previous experience in fuel maintenance and/or maintenance related trade school preferred. • Must have a minimum of one (1) year maintenance experience. • Electronic and computer skills preferred. • Valid driver's license and satisfactory driving record required. • Willing and able to travel when necessary. • Ability to perform the four basic arithmetic operations (add, subtract, multiply, divide). • Ability to work with various hand and power tools. • Ability to interact with store personnel, customers, and management in a professional courteous manner. • Ability to work with minimal supervision. • Must be able to work flexible hours such as weekends, on-call, evenings and holidays.
