Position Summary: Picks up food product for orders placed by the service staff and delivers the meal to our guests; includes appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts and other items requested b y our guests. Assists the kitchen and service staff as needed to maintain the highest level of food quality, presentation and timing to optimize our guests dining experience. Essential Job Functions: Reports to work as indicated on the work schedule and in the correct uniform. Practices positive personal hygiene and cleanliness habits during all work shifts. Complies with all Board of Health, INS and Safety requirements. Sets up the front line with equipment, plateware and smallwares needed to effectively serve all food products. Reads order tickets as they arrive and place onto ticket minder. Tracks cooking times on all orders, checks finished product for proper temperature and plate presentation. Coordinates and communicates with kitchen stations to correctly time and server "hot and cold" items to the guest. Garnishes finished entrees according to Macaroni Grill specifications and procedures. Delivers food to correct table and person. Able to lift and transport food from the kitchen to the table using large oval trays. Assists the server as needed to optimize the guest's dining experience. Completes all side work in the front and/or back of the house as assigned and scheduled by the members of the management team. Accomplishes all job duties while adhering to all safety guidelines and practices. Reports any unsafe condition, unsafe act, accidents and/or injuries to the Manager on Duty. Performs all duties and maintains knowledge of all Macaroni Grill standards and procedures. Lift minimum of 50 lbs.

Education and Experience: High School education or equivalent Minimum of six months experience in a full service restaurant Special Working Conditions: Position requires extensive interaction with the public and all levels of employees both within and outside of organization. Physical Requirements: Able to work in an environment where there may be regular exposure to noise, odors, fumes, temperature fluctuations, grease and other conditions associated with a restaurant. Able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. Able to constantly stand and exert well-paced mobility for a period up to four hours in length. Have a good sense of balance, be able to bend, kneel, stoop, reach and squat on a frequent basis to obtain and store food, beverage items, smallwares and service equipment. Able to stand for long periods of time. Vision abilities to include: distance, close, color, depth, and peripheral. Also the ability to adjust focus. Able to continuously use fingers to bilaterally operate point of sale equipment, prepare and serve food/beverage items.
