We are looking for a talented individual to join the Meat Department Team. This individual should smile, greet and be courteous to customers, work with management and all other associates to provide a high level of customer service, be punctual, work your schedule, conduct yourself at all times in a professional business manner, and assist in any way possible and as directed to provide for a clean and safe store environment. Responsibilities include: -Receive, store, and grind meats in a busy grocery store environment -Unloads fresh, cured, and boxed meats and poultry from delivery truck and transports them to storage room with a handtruck -Count and weigh incoming articles and compares results against invoice. -Examine meats in storage and rotates meats to avoid aging. -Cut meat into small pieces suitable for grinding, and grinds for use as hamburgers, meat loaf, and sausage, using powered grinding machine. -Clean grinder, meat containers, and storage room with water hose and broom. -Take meat orders from customers. Requirements: -Must demonstrate efficiency and delicacy with potentially hazardous equipment (slicers, heated wrapping stations, butcher knives, etc.). -Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds. This position is part time with comparable pay.
