Our team is growing and we are looking to add quality team members to our Back of the House team in the roles of Prep Cook and Line Cook. These positions help us deliver quality food throughout the campus of Cal Baptist University, which consists of eight restaurants (including Chick Fil-A, The Habit Burger Grill and El Monte Grill (think Chipotle), a catering department, and a 5000-seat arena where we serve all the yummy stadium concessions!!! On average we serve 30,000 meals a week!!! Duties typical of a Cook: -Verifies food requirements for established menus and orders as needed. -Regulates temperatures of ovens, broilers, grills, roasters, and steam kettles. -Follows established menus. -Observe and test foods being cooked by tasting, smelling and piercing with fork if needed to determine if cooked properly. -Wash and prepare fruits and vegetables for use in menus. -Cut, trim, and de-bone meat as needed. -Bakes bread, rolls, cakes, and pastry when needed. -Directly serve guests and students. -Replenish items on food line. -Operate fryers and grills -Assist in assembling product to be prepared and cooked for meals. -Break down, clean, and sanitize serving lines and kitchen prep areas. -Back up all line servers These positions offer full or part time flexible work hours, 7 days a week.
