As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.
Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. As a part of the OCI Platform Anti-Fraud team, you will design, develop, troubleshoot and deliver software solutions that are curated towards detecting and mitigating fraudulent activities initiated by bad actors, while maintaining transparency and ease fuse for legitimate OCI customers. This will give you an opportunity to drive new software development and analysis techniques in a cross-functional space that includes working alongside data scientists and building and iterating machine learning systems. - Distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment
- Familiarity and understanding of distributed computing and cloud-based platforms
- Experience with data pipelines, data analytics systems, and machine learning fundamentals
- Experience with end-to-end development, from UX through backend
- Background in anti-fraud, security, data science or other statistical or anti-threat areas
- Experience developing service-oriented architectures and web services security solutions
- Deep understanding of object-oriented design and SDK development, specifically within a cloud environment
- Development experience in Java, C#, or similar languages and Python, Ruby or other scripting languages
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information in a clear, concise manner to all
- Comfortably in a collaborative, agile development environment.
