The Facilitator-Emergency Medical Service (EMS) is an integral part of the emergency department team. The Facilitator-EMS is the liaison between HSHS and the EMS community. By being actively involved in the delivery of EMS outreach, quality assurance and policy development, this role embodies the HSHS core values of respect, care, competence, and joy.
EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic)-Required
Illinois - Completion of EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic) program of study OR an Associates or Bachelors degree in Nursing-Required

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Licensed as an EMT-P (Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic)-Required
Illinois - Licensed EMP-P or a Registered Nurse-Required
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)-Required
Basic Life Support (BLS)-Required
Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS)-Preferred
Crisis Intervention Certification. Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP) preferred. PreHospital Trauma Life Support (PHTLS)-Preferred
