Description:Prepares cardiac catheterization laboratory equipment and procedure room using aseptic technique.Assists in direct patient care during pre and post procedures.Assures necessary safety measures with attention to radiation protection.Assists in post catheterization management of sheath and insertion site according to scope of practice and per practitioner order.Performs roles of scrub tech and cardiac monitor tech in diagnostic and interventional procedures. Assures complete documentation in electronic procedure record when performing cardiac monitor tech role.Maintains required level of cardiac support according to scope of practice.Maintains inventory control and materials management.Ensures proper function and quality of imaging and radiographic equipment in collaboration with biomedical engineering, respective industry partners, and system administrator for physiological and archival system. Assures equipment undergoes required calibration, maintenance and inspection.Participates in quality assurance and quality improvement activities. Recommends changes in non-clinical and department activities to improve quality of patient care and balance workflow. Identifies issues and recommends solutions. Orients and trains cardiac catheterization technologist personnel in diagnostic and interventional procedures performed within cardiac catheterization laboratory. Works with supervisor and appropriate staff to implement training and monitoring measurements. Serves as resource to and liaison between cardiac catheterization technologist staff and supervisor/leadership for non-clinical related topics. Attends Radiation Safety meetings and represents department. Assists supervisor with difficult non-clinical problems or patient complaints.Basic Qualifications:

Assists in inventory and materials management to assure adequate availability of consumables for lab and its related care. Assists in orientation of new cardiac catheterization personnel. Recommends changes in non-clinical activities and department activities to improve quality of patient care and balance workflow. Identifies issues and recommends solutions. Assists in implementation of policies and procedures. Serves as resource and role model to cardiac catheterization staff.
ExperienceMinium four (4) years of current cardiac special procedures and interventional cardiac catheterization lab experience.EducationGraduate from accredited school of Radiologic Technology; or two (2) years of directly related experience.License, Certification, RegistrationValid Hawaii Radiologic Technologist license (must meet education requirement(s) for Hawaii State licensure) upon date of hire.Registered Radiologic Technologist with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) with the Cardiovascular Credentialing InternationalCurrent BLS for Healthcare Provider CPR or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.Current ACLS certification.Additional Requirements:Demonstrated knowledge of and skill in adaptability, group presentations, group process facilitation, influence, interpersonal relations, oral communication, problem solving, quality management, results orientation, team building, teamwork, and written communication.Preferred Qualifications:N/APrimary Location: Hawaii,Honolulu,Hospital/Medical Offices 3288 Moanalua Rd.
