    Job Description


    The Treasury Solutions Commercial Card Account Manager is responsible for participating in revenue generation, expansion and maintenance of the Citizens Bank Commercial Card business by managing a portfolio of Commercial Card ePayables relationships across the footprint to achieve growth, retention, and profitability goals. With a primary focus on strategic partnering, the Commercial Card Account Manager interacts with Relationship Managers, Treasury Solutions and Commercial Card Sales, Operations, Product Management, and other cross-functional groups as necessary to provide outstanding service from a solution and support perspective to the clients in her/his assigned portfolio. This position will interact with other business lines in order to further cross-sell the relationship and will have external interaction with industry professionals, agencies promoting our brand, group, and organization.

    • Manage, defend and grow assigned portfolio of existing clients and newly onboarded Commercial Card epayables relationships
    • Perform quarterly reviews with clients and an in-depth spend review at least annually
    • Leverage industry benchmarking tools and other internal data analytics to assist clients with growth opportunities
    • Utilizing industry and client experience, partner with Product Management to support pricing and contract renewals
    • Transition clients to be self-sufficient with respect to Vendor Enablement
    • Maintain strong communication with Treasury Management Sales and Commercial Card Sales Specialists to keep them abreast of cross-sell activities and refer business opportunities
    • Understand and adhere to Citizens Commercial Bank risk and regulatory standards, policies and controls.
    • Identify risk-related issues needed escalation to management
    • Proactive monitoring and management of program metrics to achieve objectives
    • Coordinate and facilitate regular client meetings to identify new cross-sell opportunities, solve problems, maintain service levels and address strategic issues
    • Be able to combine a depth of payment expertise with a consultative approach to build and maintain client relationships and trust to fuel success
    • Engagement with a diverse set of internal partners that will require leadership to deliver services and solutions
    • Propose process improvements within the cross-functional teams responsible for ensuring best-in-class client satisfaction levels
    • Minimum of three years Commercial Card (or related relevant product)
    • Sales or Account Management experience
    • Have a deep level of expertise in transaction banking solutions, including but not limited to Cash Management, Commercial Card and Trade Servicesand an understanding of the client needs that drive usage of these products
    • Be organized and able to balance multiple client relationships simultaneously
    • Be tenacious, resourceful, results-oriented and innovative
    • Possess the ability to think outside of the box to find solutions while teaching clients to resolve non-strategic issues independently using available resources
    • Have the ability to influence without authority, changing the way that clients think and do business
    • Be able to "separate the signal from the noise" to understand which issues are critical
    • Be highly personable, developing deep, lasting relationships quickly
    • Strong communications skills (written, oral, and presentation)

    • A well-developed proactive, consultative sales/relationship management style with evidence of consistently meeting/exceeding financial targets
    • Experience working with large organizations
    • Bachelors Degree required
    • Masters Degree or MBA preferred
    • Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation preferred
