    Position Summary

    Performs shipping and receiving duties under supervision, such as; receiving supplier shipments, checking packing list against shipment conents, prints slips and labels, and data entry into the Sara Lee receiving reports. Applies acquired job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete assigned tasks. Responsible for unloading all bagged, boxed or barreled or tote ingredients by forklift. Proper rotation of ingredients to ensure first in, first out. Inspect ingredient bags and storage areas for spillage, tears, insect or rodent activities. Clean and repair bags as needed. Process ORACLE TRACE GAIN download for ingredients and packaging, keep dailylog book(inventories on incoming ingredients), and follow all receiving processes according to established security programs. Inspect forklift daily. Fill in as needed for bulk unloads. Perform weekly inventory on all ingredients and packaging for weekly reconciliation. Monitors inventory and schedules bulk ingredient shipments based on Production usage. Monitors the levels of the Bakery Feeds waste trailers and schedules replacement trailers based on the rate that waste is being generated. Monitors and maintains all required AIB/SQF documentation that pertains to the Receiving Process.     Essential Duties & Responsibilities
    • Unloading and receiving of both truck ingredients / packaging and incoming bulk ingredient loads.
    • ORACLE TRACE GAIN receiving entry of all incoming ingredients and packaging material.
    • 5 - S cleaning and organization of receiving area including proper rotation of ingredients.
    • Assists in cycle counting activity daily and weekly physical inventory.
    • Daily bulk ingredient inventory counts.
    • Daily delivery of ingredients to both scaling and mixing areas.
    • Daily UPS shipments / receipts.
    • Receives incoming packages and shipments; unpackaged and perform data entry for purchase order receipts; move products and materials to stockroom, work-in-process, or to requestor.
    • Stock bread and bun packaging lines including 5 - S of both production and warehouse storage areas.
    • STO requests of ingredients and packaging material.
    • Assist Sales department with shipment of display items.
    • Assist with weekly Metro Park Warehouse ordering and inventory levels.
    • Ability to produce routine reports and other documentation from shipping programs.
    • Take appropriate action to ensure the integrity and sustained certification of the SQF system.
    • Responsible for reporting and taking any necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems from occurring.

    • Must be capable of exerting force of up to 50 pounds.
    • Must have mental and visual ability to identify various products, codes, labels, read sales orders and shipping documents. Must be able to do basic math calculations to count, add, subtract, multiply and divide.
    • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks and follow simple instructions.
    • Must be able to stoop, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk and hear inourto perform job. Must be capable of reaching 7 feet to handle stacks of plastic containers of bakery products.
    • Must input inventory counts into ORACLE TRACE GAIN and maintain inventory quantities on all ingredients and packaging.
    • Must be capable of properly transferring materials between plants as needed.
    • Must be able to schedule deliveries for all bulk ingredients.
    • Must be able to schedule waste trailers based on waste generation to meet the demand
    • Participate in flour sifter tailing checks, TTA and PH moisture checks, and quality controls in WINSPC
    • Responsible for following and enforcing procedures outlined in the Food Safety Plan and the Food Quality Plan and any other programs that support the SQF system and other 3rdparty audits.

    • A trained designee will be appointed by plant management to cover for absences or vacancies.
    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:
    • Must be a full-time Bimbo Bakeries associate with (6) six months' service
    • High School Diploma or GED required
    • Computer skills MUST
    • Flexible work schedule
    • Willing to work weekends when needed
    • Silo climbing heights a must
    • Between one to two years of related experience and/or training
    • Forklift Certification required
    • Good communication skills
    • Basic mathematical skills
    • Must have valid driver's license
