    Position Description:
    Penn Medicine is seeking hospitalists/ nocturnists to provide direct patient care on the teaching services (teach medical students), non-teaching services, observation medicine service, and the consult/co-management service. The hospitalist/ nocturnist provides direct inpatient attending care to patients hospitalized on a general medical service including: admission, diagnosis, evaluation, treatment and internal medicine consultation (including pre-operative and post-operative consultations for surgical patients, as well as patients on a general medicine service.) The hospitalist/ nocturnist collaborates with auxiliary health care providers and specialists to enhance patient care and improve patient outcomes.

    Minimum Requirements:
    Candidates must be Board certified or eligible in Internal or family medicine. Board certification is required for applicants who have completed residency three or more years prior to the date of application. Candidates must have or be eligible for a Pennsylvania medical license. Passage of USMLE 1, 2, and 3 is required. Candidates must have DEA license/registration.
