Eaton's Fluid Electrical Distribution division, a part of our Aerospace group, is currently seeking a Lead EHS Analyst to join our team. This position is based at our Jackson, MI office. Relocation is available for candidates currently located within the United States.Position Overview:
The Lead EHS Analyst supports environmental, health, safety, and security efforts at the site. The individual selected for the role will be responsible for: supporting EHS activities at his/her location(s), including: establishing EHS objectives and targets; internal reporting of EHS performance; communication of national, area, and local regulatory requirements, and; ensuring documents are available in the local languages.
The incumbent will support site MIOSHA/MDEQ certifications; assuring accurate and complete EHS reporting of metrics; assuring closure of MESH and regulatory agency findings on a timely basis; completion of required training for EHS personnel; supporting actions during crises; site security, supporting the creation of a strong EHS culture that engages employees throughout the site in EHS teams and processes.

- Support and promote zero incident EHS culture through the MESH (Management of Environmental, Safety, & Health) programs in order to achieve World Class Status as well as any other Eaton, State or Federal Recognized programs.
- Supports the creation of EHS goals and/or objectives for the site manager and appropriate activity-based goals for the leadership team, functional managers, and front-line supervisors to drive EHS culture, compliance, and results.
- Support site in achieving EHS targets & objectives. Support development, maintenance, and achievement of goals in support of corporate and business group EHS strategic initiatives.
- Manage the development and maintenance of risk assessments at the location to identify critical EHS hazards and opportunities for safety improvements for jobs/tasks.
- Manage multiple MESH Elements and will support other MESH element champions and facilitate their engagement in ownership of the MESH elements.
- Work with EHS leader and MESH element champions to complete an annual evaluation of compliance for EHS country, state, and local regulations.
- Lead injury and illness investigations, as well as near misses, using A3 problem solving (or others) to capture lessons learned and implement corrective, preventive measures to avoid future injuries.
- Prepare reports of key EHS performance indicators to track leading and lagging indicators and supporting EHS information for presentation to Leadership group(s).
- Lead EHS engagement through EHS teams and committees needed to accomplish the established targets and objectives for the year.
- Recognize and integrate principle Continuous Improvement (Lean/CI) concepts into EHS and vice-versa.

- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental, Health, and Safety or equivalent from an accredited institution is required.
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in EHS field is required
- Minimum of one (1) year of manufacturing experience is required
- Demonstrated experience with safety programs is required
- Must be able to work in the United States without corporate sponsorship now and within the future
- This position requires use of information or access to hardware which is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e. 'Green Card Holder'), Political Asylee, or Refugee. .
- Experience working within a unionized facility.
- Experience with environmental programs.
- Understanding of ISO 14001 standards.
- Proven track record of safety metric performance and improvement.
- Lean Fundamentals understanding.
- Experience with workers compensation
- Ability to make recommendations that will influence worksite and capital investments.
- Ability to lead discussions and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
