POSITION SUMMARY: The CT Technologist provides patient centered service to all persons encountered as an imaging technologist in computed tomography. Proficiently, and professionally assist radiologists and other Health Center staff with imaging requests. Maintain HIPAA compliance. Answers phones and distributes messages in a timely manner. Confidently and competently transports patients to and from medical imaging when requested. Under the direction of the radiologist, perform CT procedures at a technical level not requiring constant supervision of technical detail. Utilize critical thinking skills and independent judgment to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiologic diagnosis. Abiding by ALARA and regulatory agencies in providing safe and appropriate care for the imaging patient.
