    Description:

    TOPS Surgical Specialty Hospital is a growth oriented fully licensed acute care hospital conveniently located at Red Oak Dr and Cypress Creek Pkwy (FM 1960) in the North Houston area. The hospital consists of eight operating rooms, 1 treatment room, 2 emergency rooms, 15 inpatient beds and four freestanding breast imaging facilities spread across North Houston. For 2014, we are projected to perform over 8,000 surgeries and 30,000 imaging visits. TOPS is a physician owned facility affiliated with both Memorial Hermann Health System and United Surgical Partners International (USPI).

    Duties:
    1. Gathers all trash and dirty linen and disposes of in proper receptacle
    2. Wipes the stretchers, furniture and equipment with germicidal solution
    3. Assists the other housekeepers as needed only as directed by Facilities Director
    4. Applies clean linen to the stretchers/beds
    5. Restocks supplies as needed in all areas as needed
    6. Wipes the tables, furniture, equipment, etc., with germicidal solution
    7. Mops floors with germicidal solution
    8. Terminally cleans the OR's when appropriate
    9. Participates as a team member in support of areas
    10. Organizes housekeeping activities efficiently and effectively
    11. Considers cost containment by using supplies economically
    12. Assists with supply and equipment inventories to maintain stock level and availability
    13. Maintains patient's privacy and dignity and respects patients' rights
    14. Responds in a timely manner to meet the needs of the patients, manager and physicians
    15. Gathers and sets up all needed equipment and supplies before patient arrives to the unit
    16. Demonstrates skill in the use of various equipment and makes sure it is in working order
    17. Every day set up the departments for the next day before leaving for the day
    18. Restock linens and IV fluids in the warmer on a daily basis as needed
    19. Performs other tasks and duties as assigned in an efficient, effective, and cost conscious manner, complying with all USPI's policies, procedures and regulations.

    Required Experience:

    Required
