    The General Maintenance Specialist is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on our Nestl Solon corporate campus equipment and property structures. This role will ensure that heating and plumbing systems perform at an optimum functionality to ensure a comfortable working environment for employees. The goal of this professional is to maintain the facilities and common areas in their best possible condition at all times. This role will also be supporting our design and construction team with any projects where knowledge of local systems is required.

    • Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues
    • Repair faulty equipment
    • Responsible for HVAC systems' computer controls in buildings to maintain climate control
    • Responsible for all lighting in buildings, completing replacements or repairs as needed
    • Perform general maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, electrical, HVAC, flooring, and plumbing
    • Maintain good condition for exterior of buildings and campus grounds
    • Maintain records and inventory for equipment and supplies for facilities
    • Maintain the Campus shuttle fleet with fueling, oil changes, and basic safety operation, partnering with service providers as needed
    • Perform workplace adjustments as needed, including physical moves of employee's contents and/or equipment
    • Respond and complete all building requests in a timely manner
    • Adhere to all OSHA and Nestl Safety standards while performing day-to-day activities
    • Support and assist with all local design and construction projects as needed

    Qualifications :

    • High school diploma
    • Trade school diploma or 4 years of work experience in maintenance, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, or electrical
    • Microsoft Office programs experience preferred
    • Experience with scissor lifts, and comfort working at heights preferred
    • CPR and HVAC certification preferred
    • Team oriented and eager to learn new skills
    • Self-driven with the ability to communicate well with others, both verbally and written
    • Effective in problem solving
    • Physically capable of climbing ladders
    • Lifting heavy objects of 50lbs
