    Job Duties

    Responsibilities

    Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the responsibilities include the following: screening and recruitment of participants for studies, completion of study visits for clinical trials, scheduling clinical trial visits, patient interviews in-person and by telephone, patient education, patient follow-up, data collection, data entry, data reporting, and data management. Provide general administrative support to the research team as needed. Assist in data analysis (excel, redcap, etc), presentations (powerpoint), manuscripts (word, endnote), and regulatory documents. Assist in preparing reports for agencies, data analysis, presentations, manuscripts, regulatory documents and project budgets. Responsibilities and workload may vary over time depending on the research projects.

    Qualifications

    Strong interpersonal skills for interaction to communicate diplomatically and effectively with faculty, peers, patients, physicians, collaborators, researchers, administrators, and University faculty and staff. Demonstrated skill in problem solving, prioritizing assignments to complete work in a timely and efficient manner, and maintaining confidentiality of data and using discretion and judgment in responding to inquiries and releasing information. Skill in performing all direct and indirect patient care functions. Ability to work as a team and work independently with minimal direction. Demonstrated advanced skills in using PC computer, MS Word, MS Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Windows applications, and Adobe Acrobat. Skills to obtain or convey clear information at various organizational levels. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends. Ability to transmit correspondence by facsimile. Ability to shift priorities and adapt to changes. Phlebotomy skills and license. Skill to process and handle blood and urine specimens. Fluent in Spanish. BS in Biology related field or equivalent work experience.
