    Position Summary

    The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill Physics and Astronomy Department has immediate openings for postdoctoral researcher position in experimental nuclear and astroparticle physics (http://enapphysics.web.unc.edu/). The group's primary research activities are searching for neutrinoless double-beta decay in 76Ge as part of the LEGEND Collaboration and involvement in the liquid scintillator R&D experiment NuDot. We are also participants in the NSF PIRE-GErmanium Materials And Detectors Advancement Research Consortium (http://pire.gemadarc.org/) where we are working with GEMADARC collaborators on advanced Ge detectors and we are involved in the KATRIN tritium beta-decay neutrino mass experiment.

    Educational Requirements

    PhD in physics

    Qualifications and Experience

    Experience in experimental nuclear, particle or astrophysics, and an established record of research excellence.
