The MQ-4C Triton program requires an Integration and Test Engineering and Functional (Section) Manager to lead a team of System Test Engineers at NAS Patuxent River, MD. This position requires knowledge of Flight Test operations in support of system integration and developmental testing of air vehicles. The role of the MQ-4C Integration and Test Engineering Manager includes being responsible for all facets of system integration, test planning and execution in multiple areas to include; requirements development, system integration, test planning, test event preparation, execution and troubleshooting of anomalies found during test.
Candidates must understand the role of flight test engineering, along with the role of supporting organizations in executing flight test programs. Candidates must be able to provide leadership and direction to other Flight Test and System Test Engineers on a tactical and strategic basis, as well as, being able to perform Integration and Test Engineering functional duties and responsibilities when required.
The functional homeroom duties include and are not limited to; attending functional staff meetings, management of personnel (performance reviews, goal setting and coaching), coordination of job assignments, staffing, recruiting, developing process improvement plans and providing input, guidance and review for policies, processes and procedures related to the Flight Test Center of Excellence. The Section Manager duties will require 10 -15% of the manager's time.
The candidate must have excellent communication skills, understand the company's flight test requirements, procedures, and be capable of working in a matrix environment with multiple sources of management guidance. Candidates must be able to support extended shifts, occasional weekends and holidays.
Bachelors of Science Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math (STEM) and 5 years of engineering experience.
Active DoD Secret Clearance and the ability to obtain a Top Secret-SCI Clearance
Minimum of 5 years combined experience in lab or flight test planning, test and integration experience.
Experience in Test Engineering leadership position
Experience with Capabilities Based Test and Evaluation (CBT&E)
Experience in system integration, and associated lab or flight test of manned or unmanned air vehicles/ground control stations
