Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems has an opening for a System Management and Control Department manager, to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position can be located in Redondo Beach, CA, Palmdale, CA, or Oklahoma City, OKC.
This Manager will be responsible for system integration, verification and validation (IV&V) activities; as well as maintaining configuration and data management and system project engineering functions across our diverse portfolio of programs. Reports directly to the PAICoE Systems Engineering Director. You will set operating objectives and provide mentorship to FHR Section Managers (SMs) based on PAICoE goals, objectives, and company policy. Provide oversight and assistance to multiple programs within the PAICoE portfolio (including F-35, F/A-18, and B-2); to provide the people, skills, and processes for successful achievement of program goals; managing planning, risk, project performance, addressing cost, schedule, technical quality, and addressing technical or operational problems when necessary. Will assist engineers and program staff to develop and maintain talent within the organization. Have frequent contact with equivalent level managers and programs to maintain and exceed health and performance for all programs.

- Provides ownership for the people, processes, and tools that support divisions and programs achieve their missions.
- Accountability for recruiting, staffing and retaining talent to deliver on the objectives.

Plans and coordinates preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met. Reviews contract to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes. Analyzes proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system. Coordinates modification records for management control. Establishes change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor. Reviews and analyzes released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
•Bachelor's Degree with 7 years of experience in Systems Engineering or a related field
•Experience with in System Management and Control processes and products throughout the program life cycle, and providing technical leadership and guidance to these discipline areas
•General understanding of NGAS Engineering Processes
•Active Secret Clearance. The ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
•Master's Degree with 15 years of experience in Systems Engineering or related field
•Proven performance as an Engineering Leader in all phases of acquisition, design, integration, and execution. Candidate will require ability to rapidly assess and lend guidance to projects assigned to the organizational group as well as demonstrated mentoring and guidance to engineers.
•Ability to assess program health and performance based on alignment of governing products and delivery schedules.
•Requirements authoring to support decomposition of standards into cost-effective solutions.
•Management of customer Master Verification Plan into early and achievable verification criteria into testable specification language to reduce cost within program scope.
•Experience with the PAICoE Portfolio programs, including F-35, F-18, and/or B-2.
