This position's standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
This position will support all ES efforts for the GBSD Program within the Sector Support Business CoE organization.
Manage the efforts of the Systems Engineering Team to include organizing, prioritizing, and assigning tasks. Responsible for managing technical, schedule, cost, and resources. This includes identifying and addressing program risks to ensure team success, mentoring staff in problem solving, facilitating technical solutions, providing staff with the appropriate resources to solve problems, tracking Program and Department schedules, working to identify key parameters and metrics to increase efficiency and reduce Program costs, plan manpower requirements, and performing quarterly and annual performance reviews of staff. Will provide direction and guidance for the Systems Engineering Team, perform a variety of specific professional engineering tasks. Apply theoretical knowledge and engineering techniques to the solution of basic analytical engineering problems. Candidate must be able to provide direction and address issues using skills obtained in the field of Systems Engineering to generate model and architecture products for the development and maturation of software and hardware requirements for key Training Systems Equipment (TSE) CI and CSCI items for GBSD.
Leads the development of Segment and CI/CSCI requirements and specifications.
Supports Program review board rhythm
Performs technical planning, system integration, verification and validation, cost and risk, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems.
Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal.
Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints.
Strong Communications Skills, both verbal and written; and ability to read and understand technical requirements documents
Applying critical skills thinking when solving complex problems
Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of related experience or Master's with 8 years of experience
Active Secret Clearance
Experience with Systems and Software Engineering development process
Experience with the development of modeling and architecture requirements for Configured Items (CI) and Computer Software Configuration Items (CSCI).
Experience in the Systems Engineering "Vee" processes, including both developing and managing the development of engineering documentation (Requirements Specifications and Design Documents)
Experience developing and presenting the requirements and design at the formal customer review meetings, such as SRR, PDR, and CDR
Understanding of capturing and documenting hardware and software requirements within an MBSE environment
Experience with CAMEO
Experience working in an Agile development environment
Experience with modeling and simulation systems desired
Experience in related program and/or networking experience, supporting the successful execution of Department of Defense programs.
