Northrop Grumman Enterprise Services is seeking candidates with outstanding leadership skills who would be responsible for managing personnel on the Enterprise Distributed Network (EDN) team reporting directly to the EDN manager within the Enterprise Services Mission Systems sector Project Management Office. The Systems Architecture Manager will become a first line manager, a dual technical and manager role, within the ES Organization focused upon the increasingly important technology areas of Virtualization and Development Services.
This is a dual-role manager position, involving both overall management of the Virtualization and Development Services team within Enterprise Systems MS sector PMO organization as well as technical work supporting the EDN services. The split between functional and EDN services duties will be approximately 20% functional and 80% on technical guidance of Virtualization and Development Services, on average.
Direct services work will include technical work, IPT leadership, consulting, strategic technology R&D, or any other appropriate technical function.
In the manager role, the candidate will provide leadership, overall direction to the assigned Virtualization and Development Services project team, and be responsible for staffing and workload forecasting, career coaching and development, goal setting, and performance evaluations. The selected candidate will have responsibility for implementing and maintaining products and services that support the MS PMO aligned to organization and sector strategy.
Roles and Responsibilities:
• Lead Virtualization and Development Services IPT
• Develop yearly capital asset forecasts and support EDN manager with allocated budgets
• Support proposal development as required
• Develop and track closure plans and project artifacts such as issue, sprint, risk and opportunity
• Build an innovation culture that is continually growing and empowers employees, establish personal and team accountability, motivates team and encourages development.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
The successful candidate will clearly demonstrate strong leadership skills and will have a record of accomplishment as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The Systems Architect Manager will demonstrate a broad skill set that is balanced between interpersonal, business, and technical capabilities. She / he will have an ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the sector business areas as required to accomplish the team goals. Additionally, will possess a system architecture background combined with experience in large-scale virtualization technologies and a solid background in external cloud based technologies. The selected candidate will work closely with the managers and directors of other engineering disciplines, program directors, program managers, and sector leadership to support staffing needs, sector initiatives, and sector strategy.

•Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Management, or relevant discipline, with 9+ years of Information Technology experience; or a Master's degree in Information Systems Management, or relevant discipline, with 7+ years of Information Technology experience
•Active DoD Secret clearance
•Proven/demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment and have effective communication and presentation skills.
•Experience in managing enterprise-scale services based on virtualization technologies.
•Previous Functional and/or Project Management experience.
•Proactive leadership skills, demonstrated communication and teamwork skills
•Demonstrated experience with managing project teams and resources that are not direct reports
•Experience with project management tools and presenting project data like status, risk and deliverables to key stakeholders.
•Detailed knowledge of cloud based virtualization and automation environment based on VMware vRealize Suite and Horizon View software.
•Knowledge of AWS services and how they can be integrated with vRealize Suite.
•Able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Top Secret/SCI security clearance
