    Job Summary

    AECOM is seeking an Entry Level Sediment Engineer to be based in Baton Rouge, LA. This position is expected to start May 2020. AECOM is pleased to include you in a unique development opportunity, the Graduate Development Program (GDP). This program is designed to support your assimilation into the organization and assist with creating a foundation of knowledge for a successful career at AECOM.     The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
    • Builds analytic and design skills.
    • Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
    • Creates designs, calculations, sketches, diagrams, schematic drawings, and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
    • Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
    • Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
    • Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.
    Minimum Requirements
    • BS in Civil, Geotechnical, or Coastal Engineering
    • Must have a valid Driver's license
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Coursework related to sedimentology, coastal are geotechnical engineering
    • Computer proficient in MS Office, ESRI, and a variety of statistical programs helpful
    • Strong team worker, flexible and hard working
    • Attention to detail and a thorough approach to work
    • Strong communication skills at all levels
    • Organized and able to conduct multiple tasks/projects at a time
    • OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour certification helpful
