Description:We are seeking a talented Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) Combat Systems Instructor to support our LCS Acquisition and Sustainment Training team. The team provides Operational & Maintenance training to the sailors responsible for operating & maintaining the Freedom variant Littoral Combat Ship.
This position regularly contributes to the development of new concepts, techniques, and standards. Considered an expert in field within the organization which includes LCS curriculum development and instruction in support of classroom and shipboard training for the Freedom class Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE), Exterior Communications (EXCOMM) and Network Administration and Cyber Security systems. Will be required to professionally interact with the LCS customer, influencing additional training support requirements.
This individual will support a multi-instructor and curriculum developer workforce providing curriculum development and instruction primarily for our U.S. program customers; develop new training materials, revise existing curriculum, plan and execute development tasks to meet key milestones, conduct formal training for internal and external customers, conduct instructor evaluations, and submit training reports. Requires ability to train officers and enlisted personnel in a shipboard, lab, and classroom environment. Additional responsibilities and special projects will be assigned as needed to support the organization.
Requires Domestic travel (20-25%)
This is a fast paced, challenging position for proven high performers and quick learners. The position supports tight deadlines on a continuous basis. Effective and independent performance in a supportive, diverse team environment is expected. Knowledge of current LCS ships systems are also needed for success. Must be able to perform without appreciable direction.
Five years' experience developing curriculum and teaching operation and maintenance of complex electronic and mechanical systems and equipment.
Demonstrated experience performing independent work tasks
Work locations for this position can be at Moorestown, NJ or Jacksonville, FL
Ability to teach technical and operational concepts related to the LCS Network Administration and Computing Networks, such as TSCE, EXCOMM, and Cyber Security.
Demonstrated experience working within a diverse team environment.
Demonstrated intermediate to advanced level proficiency using Microsoft Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Access, etc).
Operational experience on an LCS platform as an Electronics Technician (ET) or Information Systems Technician (IT).
Knowledge and experience with LCS Exterior Communications (EXCOMM), Total Ship Computing Environment (TSCE), US Navy Information Assurance and Cyber Security Networking systems.
Master Training Specialist (MTS).
Experience developing curriculum IAW NAVEDTRA 130B and 131B including AIM I, AIM II, or CPM/LOM.
